1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of this website and purchases made directly from Jean Maxeau Boursiquot through this site. By accessing the website, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the purchasing features of the site.

3. Products and Pricing
A Resident Alien In Search Of A Home is offered in three separate formats: Paperback, Audiobook, and PDF Ebook. Prices shown on the website at the time of checkout control the transaction. The Paperback is currently priced at $16.00 and the Audiobook at $14.99. The PDF Ebook uses a contribution-based price with a suggested contribution of $9.97 and a minimum contribution of $2.97. Contributions below the minimum are not accepted.
4. Digital Products and Download Access
The PDF Ebook and Audiobook are virtual, downloadable products. A customer account is required for digital purchases so that downloads can be accessed from the account area. Download access is limited to five downloads per file and expires 30 days after access is granted. The Audiobook is delivered as 20 separate MP3 chapter files. Customers are responsible for downloading and securely storing purchased files before access expires.
5. Personal Use License
Digital files are licensed to the purchaser for personal, non-commercial use only. Purchasing a digital format does not transfer copyright or ownership of the work. You may not reproduce, redistribute, resell, publicly post, share download links, or otherwise make the files available to others without written permission from the copyright holder.
6. Paperback Shipping
Paperback orders are packed and shipped directly by the author. At launch, shipping is available only to addresses within the United States. A flat ground-shipping charge of $4.25 applies to an order containing a physical book unless the website expressly states otherwise. Digital-only orders do not incur shipping charges. Shipping times are estimates and may be affected by postal or carrier delays outside the seller’s control.
7. Returns, Refunds, and Order Problems
All sales are final, subject to applicable law. Digital products cannot be returned once access has been provided. Paperback orders are not accepted for return simply because the purchaser changes their mind. If a physical order arrives damaged, is materially incorrect, or does not arrive, contact us promptly with the order number and relevant details so the issue can be reviewed. Nothing in this policy limits any rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
8. Payment, Taxes, and Order Acceptance
Payment is processed through the payment methods offered at checkout. You are responsible for providing accurate billing and account information. Applicable taxes, if any, are calculated or charged as required. An order is subject to acceptance and may be cancelled or refunded if there is a pricing error, suspected fraud, payment failure, product unavailability, or another legitimate reason that prevents fulfillment.

The book, audiobook recordings, text, graphics, photographs, branding, and other original content displayed or sold through this website are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited personal-use rights that accompany a lawful purchase, no rights are granted to copy, distribute, adapt, publish, or commercially exploit this content without permission.
10. Acceptable Use
You may not misuse the website, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with checkout or account functionality, use automated tools to abuse download access, submit false payment information, or use the site in a manner that violates applicable law or the rights of others.
11. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
The website and its content are provided on an as-available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the seller does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the website or that every technical issue will be error-free. The seller is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from use of the site or purchased digital files where such limitation is permitted by law. Any liability that cannot legally be excluded remains subject to applicable law.
